      That’s what we’re told isn’t it? Guess it kind of throws out all those astrological predictions you read about in magazines.

      Officially, yes it is. According to the definition of what a planet is that is set down by the International Astronomical Union, Pluto doesn’t qualify as a full planet.

      Scientifically this makes sense – Pluto is different from the eight main planets in the Solar System. But given its history as the ninth “planet” to be discovered, I think it should at least be an honorary planet!
