Hi shrimpyking – good to hear from you again!

It really depends what type of teacher. Things may have changed since I was at school – which is why you should speak with you careers advisor – but I suspect the core subjects to set you up include maths, english, a language, a humanities subject (geography, history etc), and at least one science (do you have the option of general science these days?).

If you want to teach science, I would say that maths, physics, chemistry and biology are important. But it’s also important to make sure you have a good range of GCSE’s, so you get a broad education.
