• Question: What do you think will casue the end of the world (when or if it ever comes)?

      Hi kw28,

      Probably nothing more exciting than the Sun getting old and engulfing the Earth as it turns into a Red Giant in several billion years’ time.

      Of course we may be hit by a large asteroid – or even a comet – way before then. But unless these are really large collisions, I suspect something of the Earth will be left over afterwards.

      Hi kw28, sailingkind and calamm8…ooh it could be us, the human race, or it could be a meteorite shower or a catastrophic volcanic eruption…who knows???!!!:)

      Most likely the expansion of our sun – the Earth won’t be here forever, and that’s the most likely end of it, I think. Though very far in the future.
