      Hi

      if by food cloning you mean genetic modification then that is already taking place but this can’t be done in isolation as the plants will still need specific nutrients to grow.

      We need to be able to combine new technologies such as this with our current understanding of the bets way of producing food, either as livestock or crops to ensure that we can feed the world. It is very important though that a range of different scientists: agronomists, ecologists, genetists, plamt breeders etc work together as we won’t achieve this if we work separately
