      Hi shrimpyking,

Homework is really important – you should do as much of it as you can, and even ask for more… Actually, I used to hate homework as well!

Unfortunately, nasty as homework is, it is important if you are going to learn what you need to to get through school, and get a job that you really enjoy.

But make sure your teachers give you useful homework that doesn’t waste your time!

I’m not a fan of homework either. I figure you should be able to get what you need done within the working/school day.

i suppose the logic is that you are given responsibility to ensure that a task gets accomplished in your own time and that you may have to study hard at home in your own time for your big exams at the end of school. Also the teachers need to check you’re understanding stuff.

Would you accept an extended school day? You could have an hour at the end of the day where you had to do your homework.

Well, shrimpyking, it depends on the assignment!
Sometimes I quite enjoyed homeworks, other times it was things I wasn’t interested in so that wasn’t fun.

I think it’s important for actually learning things; the more you repeat things, the better you remember them! So it’s useful for exams and you’ll be surprised how much stuff from school you will always remember, and how much of it actually turns out to be useful 😉

Can’t say I loved it all the time – it depended on the subject. A necessary evil to help you broaden your mind!
