      Hey 179ns8ag.

I wrote about my opinions here, do take a look if you have a few mins!

I love video games, always have!

I think it’s irresponsible of parents and individuals to play games that are not meant for them; if I hear someone talking about how they bought GTA for their 10 year old nephew, that really annoys me.

Just as you wouldn’t sit an 8 year old in front of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, people should have the same respect for game certificates.

I learned a lot from games growing up; language stuff, maths, geography, loads.

I think it’s as valid a leisure activity as any other and it can build certain skills; co-ordination, teamwork, creative thinking.

People who say games are evil just get on my nerves.

Hello, I’m afraid I’m not much of a gamer. I don’t have strong negative opinions about them as long as they don’t become an addiction. I think it’s important to ensure you get some exercise and have diverse interests.

Most things in moderation are fine in my opinion.

      Hi

I don’t play them so I don’t really have an opinion of them

      Hi 179ns8ag,

Tough one that. I actually think video games are fine in moderation – but I worry about excessive video game playing, as I fear it could tend to prevent players exercising their mind more and actually having a life!

I know that there’s some concern that violent video games encourage violence. I’m not sure research supports that. But personally, I don’t think that games like first-person shooter games encourage a healthy attitude in anyone who plays them.
