      Hi geoff,

I was a quiet subversive! I appeared to be towing the line, while doing the stuff I wanted to do. Not really a rebel because challenging the system didn’t suit me – but I certainly played the system 🙂

Sorry geoff, I was pretty straight down the line at school. I didn’t think so at the time and probably admired some of the folk who rebelled but I don’t think there’s much to be gained from it and school is such a short time compared to the rest of your life. A short time that can define the rest of your life. If you can toe the line at school (without being an unpleasant teacher’s pet type individual) and come away with grades that let you do what you want to do you’ll never look back and think, ‘wow if only i’d smoked behind the bike-sheds more and taken the opportunity to swear at Mr Brown’. There’s bigger fish to fry.

      Hey geoff

It depends what you mean by rebel, but no, I wouldn’t say so.

My friends and I considered ourselves the ‘normal’ ones! We weren’t always being naughty, we weren’t taking drugs, we weren’t the goths and indie kids… we just were who we were!

I never saw the point of being a pain in the ass at school.
Teachers – they’re just people! I thought it was mean when kids tried to make them have a nervous breakdown (and sometimes succeeded).

As I said elsewhere, I quite like learning about stuff so it was actually just annoying when people tried to make the lessons all about them – when people are naughty in class it just seems like they want attention, it’s a bit pathetic really. At least that’s what I think!!
