• Question: Is there any evidence that the world will end in 2010?

      Hi kw28,

      In 2010?! If there is, no-one’s told me!

      The simple answer is no. In fact no-one has any strong evidence that the world is going to end anytime within in the next few billion years I’m afraid.

      Nope. Though maybe it did end today in a parallel universe? Any thoughts?

    intresting answer, i think there are many parallel universes, and every time we make a decision that there is another universe that is what would happen if we chose a different option.

      The many parallel universes idea is a pretty sound one in modern physics kw28. Of course, physicists love to think up these weird ideas, then have a good laugh when people take them too seriously 🙂

    It’s an interesting thought and certainly popular in sci-fi films and books. I suppose it’s more of a time-travel thing but I quite like plots were people chase around trying endless possibilities in order to try and influence some awful future event. Whatever they do makes no difference.

    Do you think there is such a thing as fate? No matter what you do your life is on a set course (it may already have happened) and as much as you twist and turn things will end the same way…Not sure I like this thought.
