Question: Does your work involve regularly working in a team?

We have a team in my lab of about 6 individuals and although it’s often difficult to see eye to eye with everyone it definitely is a positive thing overall.
This is a key question for working in the hospital because there are so many people that have to work together to sort patients out. They call this multi-disciplinary team-working. In the lab you usually just have different ages of scientist in the hospital you have: nurses, physios, occupational therapists, social workers, dieticians, pharmacists, radiographers, chiropodists, psychologists, doctors (various), scientists (biochemists, pathologists and haematologists). Team-working is a very important skill and I would say it is essential in medicine and highly desirable in science…(You have to be an incredible genius to do it all yourself!)

Hi elmo97 – you are busy! Yes, I do work as part of a bigger team which includes safety officers and auditors because I work for the Chief Environmental and Safety Officer for the Royal Navy. Ultimately, I work for an even bigger team, the Royal Navy and we all support the operational requirements we have overseas.:)
