      Hi shrimpyking,

There’s bound to be another ice age at some point – the Earth’s climate is always changing. I’m not sure when it will be though, although some people are arguing that the next one could start in just a few years.

Anything is possible. Do you think this would help all those poor polar bears that seem to be endlessly swimming towards melting ice sheets at the moment? Or do you think they might not like it too cold either? What do you think would be well-placed to survive another ice-age?

Hi shrimpyking again! The planet works in “cycles” and and an Ice Age is one such cycle for the planet. However, our activities can affect these cycles in the frequency they arise and the length of time they hang around for. From reading around the subject in my job, Ice Age’s tend to follow periods of intense warming, so I think it would be unlikely in my lifetime unless we had some form of catastrophic event but who knows what may lay in store for us????:)

Quite probably. Though I’m not familiar enough with the climate data to be able to say when, for how long, why, have we changed so many things that it won’t happen again, or any question like that!
