      Hi u26ahmedn,

I wish I did – I bet AndrewL is stuffed with weird facts!

Here’s one though that I really like – did you know that most of the cells in your body don’t belong to you, but to bacteria that live in and on you? Some people estimate that there are around twenty times more bacteria than human cells in the human body!

It makes you wonder who you really are – who you think you are, or just a collection of bugs with a bit of personality! 😉

      u26ahmedn,

I’ll try and keep this scientific because it’s not fair to discuss what AndrewM and Emma look like beneath the neck…..

Did you know that early antibiotics were based on dyes (aniline dyes)? They worked better than anything else in the days before penicillin but an unfortunate side-effect of the first compund was that it dyed the patient red from head to toe.

When your stomach makes weird gurgling noises it’s called borborygmi.
A bezoar is a ball of swallowed foreign mateial gets stuck in the gut (I encountered a water-melon seed bezoar once-not my own obviously)
It is possible to develop a tumour that has fully formed teeth in it (a teratoma)

Also see these links from this site for an unusual medical situation and a a weird scientific study. I don’t think the 2nd one is weird just unexpected perhaps.

PS It strikes me that you must know some weird facts that you are bursting to share. Go ahead we’re not shy.
